Thank you to all those who participated in listening sessions that provided critical perspectives to inform the search for Bryant University’s next Provost and Chief Academic Officer. The feedback from those sessions helped us develop the position profile, which will be used by Mr. Chuck O’Boyle, our search consultant, to attract a strong pool of highly qualified candidates for this important role.
Advancing our University’s academic initiatives is a top institutional priority and essential for the successful implementation of Bryant’s emerging Vision 2030 plan. As you will read in the position profile, we are seeking a strategic leader who will prioritize mission-aligned and career-focused curricular renewal to ensure that Bryant remains a leader in intentional and innovative study integrating business and liberal arts.
Advertisements for the Provost will be placed in several higher education journals and professional associations this week. At this stage of the search, Mr. O’Boyle is utilizing his extensive network to seek candidate nominations and proactively attract highly desirable candidates. He will then work with the Search Committee to guide review of candidates while conducting due diligence on those individuals. We have strong confidence in his ability to help us conduct a highly effective search. The Search Committee will decide which candidates to recommend to the President.
